“Wisdom both surrounds you and lives within you. The wisdom of the Universe is available to expand your perspective, while the wisdom of your soul is available to illuminate your path. As you learn to trust both, life becomes less about finding answers and more about recognizing the truth that has been present all along.” - The Akashic Records
One of the things I love most about working in the Akashic Records is the opportunity to experience wisdom in different forms.
When most people think about wisdom, they often think about knowledge gained through experience. While that is certainly one form of wisdom, the Records have taught me that wisdom can be accessed in ways that go far beyond our personal experiences.
Over the years, I have come to recognize two forms of wisdom that are available to all of us.
The first is what I think of as ancient wisdom.
This is the wisdom that exists beyond our individual lives. It is the wisdom available through the Akashic Records, the Universe, our guides, teachers, healers, and the collective knowledge that has accumulated across time. It is the wisdom that often arrives as a knowing. Sometimes it comes through a message in the Records. Sometimes it appears during meditation, prayer, healing work, or quiet reflection.
What makes this form of wisdom so interesting is that we may not always be able to explain how we know something.
We simply know.
Many of us have experienced moments when a truth arrived fully formed. We may not have understood where it came from or how we received it, yet something inside recognized it immediately.
The second form of wisdom is even more personal.
It is our own inner wisdom.
While ancient wisdom helps us access a broader perspective, inner wisdom helps us understand ourselves. It reflects the unique path of our soul, the lessons we came here to explore, the experiences we came here to have, and the person we came here to be.
This wisdom knows what is true for you.
It knows what aligns with your soul and what does not. It knows which opportunities support your growth and which ones may lead you away from yourself. It recognizes when something is right for someone else but not necessarily right for you.
In my experience, this is often the wisdom people struggle to trust.
It can be easier to trust a message from a guide, a teacher, a healer, or even the Akashic Records than it is to trust ourselves. Yet again and again, the Records remind us that our inner wisdom is one of the most important tools we possess.
The goal is not to choose one form of wisdom over the other.
The goal is to allow them to work together.
Ancient wisdom offers perspective. Inner wisdom helps us understand how that perspective applies to our own lives.
One helps us see what is possible. The other helps us recognize what is true for us.
Together, they create a powerful partnership.
The more we learn to access both forms of wisdom, the more clearly we begin to see our lives, our choices, and the opportunities before us. We stop looking for answers solely outside ourselves and begin recognizing that wisdom is available from many sources—including the one that has been quietly present within us all along.
Affirmation
I recognize and trust the wisdom available to me, both within and beyond myself.
